Day Three: Funny Friday #1 "Home Instead Prayer"

Happy Friday everyone! The work week is over and the weekend is finally upon us. We all made it through another week in one piece. We may have taken some beatings, we may have struggled with many challenges, but we're Alive and well! On each Friday on this blog, I will make the post "Funny Friday", just a little humor to round out each week. So, for the first Funny Friday, I want to share this cute and funny video of a prayer at a dinner led by Mary Maxwell back in 2009.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV)

Have a great weekend!
Love,
Dustin

Day Two: Look to the Stars

Good evening everyone! I have a question for you?? Have you ever felt alone? Have you ever felt like nobody is listening to you? Have you ever felt so down that you felt like you just couldn't stand it anymore?? Look to the stars! If you ever find the chance on a milder night with clear skies, take the time to just look up!

"Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. (Isaiah 40:26 NIV)

All the stars in the night sky are like each of us. We're all human, and we ALL will have our down days. So, the next time you feel down and alone, just know to look to the One who made the Stars, because the same God who made the stars cares for you! After all, He gave you LIFE, and Life is a blessing!! Life is too short to be down in the dumps. The purpose for this blog is to be uplifting, and you can't get any more uplifting than that! Life is worth living, because there are many special blessings that will be poured out for you! God bless!

Look to the stars!!

Day One: New Beginnings

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year 2015!!! I wanted to start something new for this new year, and share uplifting and encouraging content each day. I know we're already 14 days into the new year, but this is the first post so I've titled it New Beginnings.

With every New Year comes everyone making New Year's resolutions. Some of the more obvious ones are losing weight, finding a job, or finding a new relationship. Some for the Christian believer would be for instance, reading the Bible on a more consistent basis, praying more, and spending more time with God. I feel that we don't have to have New Year's resolutions for the new year. We can set goals anytime, day or night, any day of the year to start off a change in something. So, let's let this New Year, be a brand new start to whatever we choose to change from years past. God bless!

Love and prayers,
Dustin
